Overview

Room and Board is a Minnesota-based furniture company with stores in 14 cities. Working with the Washington, D.C.-based store, StorySocial launched Room and Storyboard, an experiential marketing concept that brings hundreds of new users to the store for regular storytelling events.

Role

StorySocial created and hosts Room and Storyboard. The event host upwards of 250 guests (22-40 year old, urban, college/graduate school educated) in the store for an evening of live storytelling told by the city’s best storytellers. Guests interact with the Room and Board product and brand by sitting on couches, getting in beds, and gathering around tables while listening to storytellers share tales of love, family, work, and home. Events engage current and future customers in the store, sell furniture and grow email lists.
